Sarah Thomassin
I’m originally from Quebec, Canada, but I’m currently riding and training in Ontario, where I’ve been working hard to improve for a little bit over a year now! I am currently the owner of three wonderful mares that each has a very special place in my heart ; Fair Warning (aka Fairy), was my first ever horse and the love of my life. She is now happily retired close to my hometown enjoying her senior years!
Next on the list is Astra De Cartigny (aka Astra) , which is in theory my sister’s mare but I do get the reins to have some fun once in a while (and to get the crazies out of course)! Last but not least, the latest addition to the family, Ultimate Defender (aka Uma), an amazing young mare with a bright future with which I’m super excited to keep on growing and improving with!
Léonie D. Lopez
I've been riding since I was 5 and competing since I was 10. I went to high school in a specialized horseback riding program and then worked for several pro riders in the industry. I've always owned a horse through the years and ridden all kinds of horses, which has given me lots of experience through the years.
In 2022, I imported a young mare from Belgium named Kate. This summer we'll be competing in the 6-year-old category. My goal is to develop her to the best of my ability, and maybe in the years to come, I'll take her to the nationals. I'm very lucky to be part of the Bourgeoisie family and to be able to train in the comfort of their beautiful athleisure.
Victoria Lombart
I started riding at the age of 9, and right from the start, I'd say my greatest quality was not being afraid of anything and always following my instincts. My best memories of when we had the stable are spending all my summers racing in the fields, picking up a pony in the paddock without a saddle and in a halter, linking small obstacles with my arms in the air, in short, doing everything I tell my eyes not to do! It wasn't long before I knew that this was what I wanted to do with my life, around the age of 14-15. One year, without expecting it, I had two incredible opportunities where two exceptional horses crossed my path and, by a miracle, we ended the season qualified for the Royal in the CET and junior 1.20m jumpers. These two horses have given me my best riding seasons to date from 2016 to 2019, taking me to the Royal every year up to the U25 (1.45m) classes. I owe so much to these two horses! In the last few years, things have slowed down a bit, but what I'm thankful for is that since then, I've started to enjoy the little things again, like going for walks in the fields on my own.
Rhyan Russaw
Rhyan was born on her family farm, Coveside Stables, and has been riding ever since. Throughout her riding journey she has competed at both national and international competitions with results. She currently competes with her three horses Rivercross Regent, Casquinova and London Sonne in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings. Her current goals are to enjoy this season, learning and growing with her horses as she continues to progress. Rhyan wants to enjoy her horses, focusing less on the results and more on having fun.
